One Woman’s Facebook Post Sparks Community Wide Support
When Joy Farina saw the images of Afgani women handing their babies over barbed wire fences she was moved into action. Within a week Joy and Dennis Farina were welcoming a refugee family of 6 into their home. Pastor Amanda learned about the Farinas and the Mbengo Family from a Facebook post Joy made in a “Buy Nothing Group” looking for donations to help the family get settled.
