Bookends

Read a good book!
Bookends is an informal reading group
and is open to anyone. The group selects
a new book every other month, and the
book is available at the Park Ridge Library.
Read the book ahead of time, then join
us for a lively discussion! The title
of the book and location of the discussion
will be published in the weekly bulletin
and the Open Door. Contact Sue Pranno
or the church office (847-823-4135) for
more information. |

Westminster/Senior
High

Sunday
mornings (during the school year) at 9:25
a.m.
The Sunday morning meetings are for high
school students who are curious about
solving the mysteries about God. The Sunday
morning bible studies will involve subjects
that relate to everyday life. Westminster
Youth will offer Bible study, discussion,
breakfast, and prayer. The study will
invite high school students to open their
hearts and minds to the power of God in
their lives. |

Confirmation

Sunday mornings
(during the school year) at 9:25 a.m.
Confirmation class is provided to the
Alpha.Com group -- the 7th and 8th graders.
Confirmation is crucial to learn the basics
of the Presbyterian faith, as well as
encouraging growth in the Christian life.
Part of becoming a member of the Presbyterian
Church is integration into the worship
life of the congregation as well as community
service to the church and the community.
In the Confirmation class, Alpha.Com members
commit two years to attending classes,
attending worship, doing community worship,
leading church worship, and developing
a strong relationship with an adult congregation
member, a Covenant Partner. The commitment
will transform a 7th and 8th grade student
to a higher level of Christian maturity. |

Classes are also
available for preschool and kindergarten
children, and nursery care is provided
for children under 2.
